# What is CSV Connector? 

## What is CSV Connector?

The CSV Connector allows you to import data from CSV (Comma-Separated Values) files into Zluri and can be treated as a recurring source of truth.

This is useful when:

* Your app system lacks API access and you need a way to import data in Zluri
* You have data in spreadsheets or other systems
* You need to have scheduled bulk import user, group, or role information
* Your data source doesn’t have a direct integration with Zluri
* One-time migration of historical data

## How the CSV Connector Works

The CSV Connector uses two distinct approaches:

1. **Initial Setup (One-Time)**
   * Configure your connector with sample data
   * Map your CSV columns to Zluri fields
   * Set up data transformations if needed
   * Validate your configuration
2. **Regular Data Uploads**
   * Upload new data files using your configured connector
   * Data is automatically validated based on your mappings
   * Valid data is imported; errors are reported for correction
