There are two ways to connect Okta to Zluri:

Option 1: Machine to Machine (Recommended)

Machine-to-Machine (M2M) communication in Okta is an authorization method that allows backend services, applications, and/or devices to communicate securely without user intervention.

This offers several advantages:

• Centralized control over application access makes it easier to manage multiple applications and their permissions.
• Simplified Access Management: Streamlines granting and revoking resources.
• Security features like conditional access and role-based access control.

Option 2: Using a custom admin role

Use this method to delegate the integration to an Okta account without super admin credentials.

This method provides fine-grained control over the Zluri features that you wish to use. It’s also a more secure way to connect as the delegated account only possesses the minimum permissions required for the integration to work.

This is a quick way to connect with minimum manual configuration. However, we recommend the M2M or custom admin role methods above for better security and more granular access control.
