Connect

This guide provides the steps to connect a Workable account to Zluri.

Prerequisites

  • Super Admin access to the Workable account.

Step 1: Generate an API access token in Workable

  1. Log in to the Workable account as a Super Admin.
  2. Select your profile icon in the upper right and navigate to Settings > Integrations > Apps.
  3. In the API Access Tokens section near the top of the page, select + Generate API token.
  4. Enter a Name for the token, for example Zluri.
  5. Select an expiration from the list: 30 days, 90 days, 6 months, 1 year or 2 years. Choose 2 years and record the date. When the token expires, Zluri's sync stops with the error Invalid Access key until the token is renewed.
  6. Under scopes, tick r_jobs only. It is the scope that grants read access to the /members endpoint Zluri reads.
  7. Select Generate token.
  8. Copy and securely store the generated Access Token. Workable shows it once. If it is lost, generate a new token and reconnect Zluri with it.

Note: When a token expires, the Renew button under it in the same section renews it without changing its value, so the connection in Zluri resumes on the next sync with no change. Revoking a token, or generating a new one, requires reconnecting Zluri with the new value.

Step 2: Find the account subdomain

  1. Open Workable in a browser and read the address bar while signed in.
  2. The Sub Domain is the first part of the address, before .workable.com. For https://testsubdomain.workable.com it is testsubdomain. It is also shown on the company profile settings page.
  3. Enter that label only. Do not include https://, .workable.com, a path or a trailing slash.

Step 3: Begin the Integration in Zluri

  1. Log in to the Zluri dashboard.
  2. Open the Workable Integration page.
  3. Select Connect Integration or Connect another instance if an existing connection is already configured.
  4. Review the required scopes displayed for the integration. The only scope is Read Users. It corresponds to the r_jobs token scope from Step 1 and is selected by default.

Authorization Options

Self-Authorization

  • Proceed directly to Step 4 to complete authorization.

Co-worker Authorization

  1. Enter a co-worker's details to share the access request.
  2. Zluri sends an invite email or link containing a unique Connect Code.
  3. The co-worker can use the code to approve and complete the connection setup.

Step 4: Authorize the Connection

  1. Depending on the authorization method (self or co-worker), enter the necessary credentials.
  2. Paste the subdomain from Step 2 into the Sub Domain field and the Access Token from Step 1 into the Access Token field in Zluri.
  3. Select Connect to complete the integration.

Note: Workable answers a token that does not belong to the account named in Sub Domain with the same response it gives a wrong token, so a mistyped subdomain also shows Invalid Access key. Check both fields.

Integration Complete

Zluri is now successfully connected to Workable and will begin syncing data automatically.
