Troubleshooting

This page lists common errors and known issues encountered while integrating Dayforce with Zluri, along with steps to resolve them.

DAYF-100-A: The username, password or client namespace used to connect this integration is incorrect

This error occurs when connecting Dayforce to Zluri with an incorrect Web Services username or password, or with a client namespace that does not match your Dayforce tenant. Dayforce returns the same error for an unknown namespace as for a wrong password.

To resolve:

  1. Verify the Web Services credentials

    1. In Dayforce, go to System Admin > User and open the Web Services user used for this integration
    2. Confirm the username and that the account is active
    3. If the password is unknown, set a new password, then copy and securely store it
  2. Verify the connection details in Zluri

    • Web Services Username and Web Services Password: enter them exactly, without extra spaces
    • Client Namespace: confirm your company's Dayforce client namespace with your Dayforce administrator
    • Dayforce API Host: enter the host only, for example www.dayforcehcm.com, without https:// or a path
    • API Path Prefix: enter api

After correcting the details, reconnect the integration in Zluri.

DAYF-100-B: The credentials used for this integration are no longer valid

This error occurs when Dayforce rejects the saved credentials during a sync. The Web Services user's password may have changed or expired, or the user may have been disabled.

To resolve:

  1. In Dayforce, go to System Admin > User and open the Web Services user used for this integration
  2. Confirm the user is active
  3. Set a new password for the user, then copy and securely store it
  4. Reconnect the integration in Zluri with the Web Services Username and the new Web Services Password

After updating the credentials, reconnect the integration in Zluri.

DAYF-101-A: The Web Services user does not have permission to read employee data

This error occurs when connecting Dayforce to Zluri with a Web Services user whose role cannot read employee data through the API.

To resolve:

  1. In Dayforce, open the role assigned to the Web Services user
  2. Under Features, enable HCM Anywhere > Web Services > Read Data
  3. Under Web Services Field-Level Access, grant access to RESTful Services > Human Resources > Employee
  4. Under Authorizations, allow read access to Employee Profile > Security Settings > Roles, User Document Security and Clock Device Groups
  5. In System Admin > User > Location Access, grant the top-level organization so that every employee is visible
  6. Save the role and the user

After updating the role, reconnect the integration in Zluri.

DAYF-101-B: The Web Services user no longer has permission to read employee data

This error occurs when the permissions of the Web Services user change after the integration was connected, and Dayforce stops returning employee data during a sync.

To resolve:

  1. In Dayforce, open the role assigned to the Web Services user
  2. Confirm that Features still includes HCM Anywhere > Web Services > Read Data
  3. Confirm that Web Services Field-Level Access still includes RESTful Services > Human Resources > Employee
  4. Confirm that the user is still assigned this role as its default role
  5. Restore any permission that was removed and save the role

After restoring the permissions, reconnect the integration in Zluri.
